Reality 1 – The Gods
‘I want to create a new world,’ said the God of Everything.
The God of Myth smiled her delight. ‘That will be great. I have to admit, I was getting a little bored with the last world.’
The God of Almost Everything scowled at the God of Myth before turning to his superior. ‘Everything is set to make the third sequel.’
‘Boring,’ said the God of Everything. ‘Even the Gods of Cheat aren’t interested.’
The God of Almost Everything knew when he was outnumbered. ‘Shouldn’t we ask all the others to come in? Have a full meeting?’
The God of Everything shook his head. ’I don’t want a debate about this. Besides, the meeting would go on for hours. We set everything up and let them worry about the details. That’s what they’re good at.’
The Celestial Quest Chamber was long and narrow, with a solid oak table, comfortable chairs and plush carpet. Not even a window broke the monotony. Even the huge wall-screen behind the God of Everything was a silver-grey blank.
